Almonds. While all nuts contain monounsaturated fats that clear your arteries and help you feel full, almonds can be considered the power nuts of the nut family. A handful of nuts provide half the Vitamin E you need in a day, eight percent of the calcium and nineteen percent of the magnesium – a key component for muscle building. In a

Pumpkin Seeds. These seeds are also another great source of magnesium. One ounce of pumpkin seeds contains more than a third of your recommended daily magnesium need. Pumpkin seeds are also a good source of manganese, iron, copper, protein, and zinc, all key for a healthy lifestyle.
Soy Nuts. Soy nuts are technically roasted soybeans. They are considered a nutrient-dense food because of the ratio of nutrients to calories they contain. Soy nuts are rich in soy protein, which is regarded as equal in quality to protein in meat. It is one of the only vegan-friendly foods that contains all of the essential amino acids. Soy nuts are also a good source for many minerals including magnesium, potassium, and copper.

Flaxseeds. Loaded with omega-3’s, these little power seeds (also known as linseeds) add artery scrubbing fiber to your diet. Just two tablespoons of these power seeds provide 146% of your daily need for omega 3 fatty acids. They are also good sources of magnesium, folate, copper, phosphorus, and vitamin B6.

Sunflower seeds. High in monounsaturated fats (the good fat that can reduce cholesterol and promote weight loss), sunflower seeds are a good source of magnesium and selenium.
We also use a touch of sunflower oil in our Power Granola. Sunflower oil is
higher in monounsaturated fats than regular vegetable oil. One study showed that men who replaced vegetable oil in their kitchen with oil higher in monounsaturated fats lowered their blood pressure by more than 30 points in 60 days without making any other change in their diets.

Wholegrain Oats. Oats are a great way to give you strength and energy throughout the day and the foundation of any granola. We use a 100% natural whole grain rolled oats. Oats contain a specific fiber known as beta-glucan. Multiple studies have shown the beneficial effects of this special fiber on cholesterol levels. Studies have also shown that eating high fibers such as oats, helps prevent heart disease.

Coconut. Coconut flakes add a tropical taste to our Power Granola and recent studies have shown that the medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) in coconut flakes raise the body’s metabolism, helping burn more calories and contributing to weight loss.
Cayenne Pepper. A granola this powerful needs a powerful spice as well. Say hello to our little friends – the red hot chili peppers. Ground into cayenne pepper, this spice gives our Power Granola a special extra kick of flavor. The hotness of cayenne peppers is actually produced by a substance called capsaicin. This substance has been widely studied for its pain-reducing effects, cardiovascular benefits, its ability to prevent ulcers, and its ability to open congested nasal passages.

Cinnamon. This spice has a long history as both a spice and as a
medicine. It is good, very good, or excellent source of calcium, iron, dietary fiber, and manganese. Its essential oils qualify as an “anti-microbial” food and have been studied for its ability to help stop the growth of bacteria as well as fungi. Because of the effectiveness of these antimicrobial properties, recent studies show that this spice can be used as a natural alternative to traditional food preservatives keeping your Power Granola fresh longer.
Vanilla Beans. Mysterious, magical, and unlike any other food, vanilla beans are indigenous to
For our sweetener, we use a special blend of the following all natural sweeteners.
Maple Syrup. One of the wonders of the world, this tree sap is an excellent source of manganese and a good source of zinc. It also contains fewer calories and a higher concentration of minerals than honey. For our Power Granola, we use 100% pure maple syrup imported from the Canadian north.
Sugar Cane Juice. Domesticated over 10,000 years ago in New Guinea, sugar cane is naturally sweet and a source of potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium, and more, We use 100% pure natural sugar cane juice reduced, clarified, and blended into what is commonly known as Molasses. This pure concentrated cane juice retains its natural sugar content, without sacrificing nutrient content like refined sugar, giving our Power Granola its sweetness and dark amber color.
